Semiconductor Lab

In response to the growing demand for high-quality human resources in the semiconductor industry, a sector that plays a strategic role in Vietnam's industrialization and modernization, LHU proudly inaugurated its Semiconductor Lab on December 23, 2024, with a total investment of over VND 6.7 billion. This is the first practice lab of its kind in Dong Nai, marking a significant milestone in LHU’s journey to advance high-tech training and research.

The Lab is equipped with the Synopsys HAPS-100 hardware prototyping system, one of the most advanced hardware simulation technologies currently, along with a synchronized computer system and specialized IC design software. Additionally, the University has invested a further VND 1.4 billion to install 64 modern computers, fully supporting teaching and research activities.

This facility provides students from the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics with direct access to modern tools and equipment, enabling them to refine their technical skills and enhance their research capabilities. It also serves as a vital platform for fostering research collaboration and technological experimentation between the University and both domestic and international enterprises.

The inauguration of the Semiconductor Lab not only serves training purposes but also creates an open space for research collaboration and technological development with enterprises and scientific organizations. As a pioneer in technology investment and transfer, LHU aims to become a leading training and research hub for semiconductor ICs in the Southeast region, as shared by Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, the University's Rector.
