Logistics and Supply Chain Management students attend Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition 2024

LHU students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management on August 2 attended the Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition 2024 (VILOG 2024) held from August 1 to 3 in Ho Chi Minh City under the theme "Green Logistics - the Foundation for Sustainable Development". This important event gives LHU students an opportunity to access latest trends and technologies in the Logistics sector, while promoting connection between the University and businesses within the industry.

At the exhibition, the LHU delegation led by PhD. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet - Head of Accounting and Finance Department visited many booths of leading businesses showcasing and introducing their logistics-related services, technologies, and solutions. Here, advanced technologies such as AI, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain,... were introduced and demonstrated, helping the students better understand how these technologies applied to optimize operational processes, improve efficiency and mitigate supply chain risks.

Attending the VILOG 2024 not only helped the students grasp the latest industry trends but also opened up many career opportunities through recruitment needs of businesses participating in the exhibition. They could learn about different job positions such as warehouse manager, transport coordinator, supply chain analyst, and among others. In addition, interaction and discussions with businesses helped them improve their communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.

The event is also an opportunity for the Faculty of Finance - Accounting of LHU to connect with businesses in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management industry, contributing to improving its  training quality, updating the curriculum aligned with practical needs, concurrently creating conditions for students to intern and work at reputable businesses. The collaboration between the University and businesses will contribute to the high-quality human resources development, meeting the growing industry needs.

The VILOG 2024 has brought Logistics and Supply Chain Management students a lot of valuable knowledge and development opportunities. This is an important stepping stone which enables them to be more confident, ready to face the challenges and opportunities in their chosen field.
