Revealing equipment sponsored by SMC Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd

Recently, the equipment sponsored by the SMC Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd for LHU, phase 1 was transported and handed over to the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics at the Center of Scientific Research and Applications, LHU.

SMC Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd and LHU signed an agreement on sponsoring pneumatic equipment in early June 2023. The equipment handover was a kick-off activity after the two sides had signed a cooperation agreement in the 2023-2024 school year.

The equipment sponsored by the SMC Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd included 8 SMCT-ALUPRO-OM20 sets and 8 SMCT-WS sets with a total estimated value of JPY 12,258,304 (equivalent to VND 2,040,018,676.10). They were carefully packaged and handed over to the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics in early December 2023.

After the handover session, the Company's technical staff had three working days, completely installing the equipment, and instructing the functions of the equipment at the Automation Lab.

Previously in August 2023, the SMC Corporation Company organized a one-week training course on new pneumatic equipment as well as maintenance procedures for 8 lecturers of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics.

As planned, the Company will continue to hand over 2nd phase equipment in January 2024. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to be held at the end of February 2024. The Automation Lab furnished with full equipment and devices promises to attract, inspire and motivate students to participate in practice. The sponsorship activity will be an innovative step in practice teaching for the Faculty in particular and the University in general.
